Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross

I liked this book much better than divine rivals. It was more fast paced and went more in depth into the fantasy world than the first book. 

I feel like the first book just skirted over the gods and was more about a magical typewriter. Whereas this book dives further into the gods, their powers and about the underlying world. 

The romance aspect was also much better in my opinion. There were multiple love stories within this book, the story between Iris and Roman, forest and his love interest (not naming names for spoiler reasons) and the romance between Attie and Bexley. The banter between Attie and Bexley was just adorable!

Another thing I liked more about this book was the action. I felt like there was much more action involved and Iris really shows off how badass she is.
